Westchester Del Rey Little League Celebrates Success at Major League Baseball's Pitch, Hit & Run Event

Westchester Del Rey Little League (WDRLL) is proud to announce the outstanding performances of its softball players who participated in the Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) event held on Saturday, May 18th at Mace Field. This event, which offers boys and girls the opportunity to showcase their baseball and softball skills, is a gateway for young athletes to compete for a Championship during the 2024 MLB World Series.

The PHR program is a free event series designed to test and record the participants' baseball and softball skills, divided into age groups 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. Those who perform well have the chance to advance from local events to Team Championships and potentially to the Finals hosted at the World Series.

WDRLL is thrilled to recognize the winners of our local MLB Pitch, Hit & Run competition:

7/8 Age Group:
1st Place:  Delilah Domino
2nd Place:  Stella DiGiovanni

9/10 Age Group:
1st Place:  Taylor Braunlich
2nd Place:  Vivienne Lai

11/12 Age Group:
1st Place:  Kaylee Braunlich
2nd Place:  Liana Avila

13/14 Age Group:
1st Place:  Lucy Ladd
 2nd Place:  Sydney Monahan

“We are incredibly proud of all our participants and their impressive performances,” said Rosie Martinez,  the Director of Player Development for Westchester Del Rey Little League.  “Events like this not only highlight the talent and dedication of our softball players young athletes but also strengthen our community's bond with Major League Baseball and its partners.”
